چکیده

Patients with ventricular tachycardia (VT) who require VT catheter ablation are a population at high risk for readmissions. The contemporary causes and outcomes of readmission after not well-established. This study aimed to identify the within 30 days procedure. Using all-payer, nationally representative Nationwide Readmissions Database, our included patients aged 18 years or older underwent between 2017 2019. On basis International Classification Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification, we identified categorized readmissions by organ systems analyzed their outcomes. Out 3,170 ablation, 446 (14.1%) were readmitted most common cause was cardiac (n=326, 73.1%), followed infectious (n=31, 7.0%), neurological (n=15, 3.4%), renal (n=13, 2.9%), gastrointestinal (n=9, 2.0%), respiratory vascular endocrinological (n=5, 1.1%) hematological events. Among causes-related readmission, recurrent (65.0%), congestive heart failure (CHF) (18.1%) etiologies. these readmissions, due CHF had highest rate in mortality (8.47%), prolonged length hospital stay more than 7 (42.37%), non-home discharge (33.9%), cost hospitalization. Recurrent early However, poorest outcome during readmission.

Mapping and ablation of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia after myocardial infarction.

OBJECTIVES The goal of this study was to describe the mapping and ablation of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) after myocardial infarction (MI). BACKGROUND The initiating mechanisms of polymorphic VT after MI have not been reported. METHODS Five patients (four males; age 61 +/- 7 years) with recurrent episodes of polymorphic VT after anterior MI (left ventricular ejection fraction 3...

Catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia.

Ventricular tachycardia (VT) most commonly develops in patients with structural heart disease. Myocardial infarction results in collagen replacement interspersed with surviving myocardium, which alters impulse propagation, facilitating re-entry.1 Aside from the postinfarction substrate, scar-mediated VT occurs in patients with nonischemic cardiomyopathy, Chagas disease, sarcoidosis, arrhythmoge...

Radiofrequency catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia after myocardial infarction.

BACKGROUND Patients with ventricular tachycardia (VT) after myocardial infarction often have multiple morphologies of inducible VT, which complicates mapping and is viewed by some as a relative contraindication to ablation. Attempting to identify and target a single "clinical" VT is often limited by inability to obtain 12-lead ECGs of VTs that are terminated emergently or by defibrillators. Thi...

Radiofrequency ablation of haemodynamically unstable ventricular tachycardia after myocardial infarction.

OBJECTIVE To determine whether radiofrequency (RF) ablation might have a role in haemodynamically unstable ventricular tachycardia. METHODS 10 patients with a history of ventricular tachycardia producing haemodynamic collapse in whom drug treatment had failed and device therapy was rejected underwent RF ablation of ventricular tachycardia in sinus rhythm. The arrhythmogenic zone was defined o...
